Annette Chirichella

My name is Annette Chirichella. I have been a resident of Hoboken my entire life, a.k.a. Born and Raised. I have been a resident of Marine View Plaza for the last forty-eight years.

I have deep roots in our town. I am a seventh-generation Hobokenite. We have seen our city and the First Ward undergo many changes and challenges. We stand at a crossroads to make our ward safer for all residents. My only agenda is to endorse Paul Presinzano for First Ward Councilman proudly.

For those who know me, I usually don't get involved in politics. Now is the time I feel it is my obligation to let my voice be heard! Many of you have raised your children and grandchildren in this great town with me. Hoboken has always been a safe, clean, diverse town to raise our families.

We need a man who has deep roots in our town to take us forward into the future. That is why, after much research and deliberation, I know Paul Presizano is the candidate I support and endorse. Paul has lived in Hoboken for over 30 years. Paul met his wonderful wife here and is raising his son here. Paul is not a politician. Paul is a family man who is a caring and concerned resident who loves Hoboken as much as we do!

We need help in our city, especially the First Ward. Our ward needs to be addressed for way too long by misrepresentation and non-existent representation.Paul is an activist on behalf of all of us because he cares! Paul is not beholden to any political group. Paul will only be accountable to us, the people of the First Ward. Paul has been voicing his concerns about the rat problem for over a year and documenting it on social media to no avail. However, once the campaign began, Mayor Bhalla finally decided to take action.

Paul has been campaigning on registrations for delivery drivers. E-transportation has become a menace on our streets and sidewalks. This initiative has been recently enacted in New York City. Why can't it be done here? Paul does not need this position for financial or self-gratification. He is not looking for photo Ops. He is doing this for his family and ours!

Let's elect the person who cares as much as we do. We need new leadership to take us forward.
